I've learned about "abbreviations" during English class when I was still an elementary student. It was fun and it entertains me because you get the chance to save time from writing long words because you get to shorten everything. But you need to be mindful of the abbreviations you make because there are some words that do not have to be abbreviated, but people are making a version of it. That's wrong so always consult your books.
